DIRECT SELLERS ASSOCIATION OF CANADA CELEBRATES THE INDUSTRY’S TOP ACHIEVERS AT 2018 AWARDS GALA
TORONTO, ON – The Direct Sellers Association (DSA) of Canada has announced the recipients of the 2018 DSA Awards on Tuesday June 27, 2018, during their annual conference at the Delta hotel in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador.
The DSA Awards honour and recognize organizations and individuals for their outstanding contributions to the direct selling industry in Canada. “The recipients of these awards are true exemplars of Canada’s direct selling industry,” said Peter Maddox, President of the Direct Sellers Association of Canada. “Each of them have enriched the lives of many Canadians through their dedication and passion. We are inspired as an industry by their many accomplishments.”
DSA Award recipients for 2018 include:
IVAN P. PHELAN AWARD – Rhancha Trick, Director Business Development, Nature’s Sunshine Canada
As the industry’s highest personal recognition, the Ivan P. Phelan Award is presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of the direct selling industry in Canada.
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD – Darren Sketchley, President, FORMCOR Inc. and Linda Herron, Barrister & Solicitor
This award recognizes individuals for their significant contribution to the advancement of the DSA through participation and leadership on DSA committees, the DSA Board, in their community or in public service.
INDUSTRY INNOVATION AWARD – Mary Kay Cosmetics Inc.
This award recognizes the implementation of a program or service unique to the Canadian direct-selling industry by a DSA member company.
PARTNERSHIP IN PROGRESS AWARD – Strategic Incentive Solutions
This award recognizes Supplier Member companies that provide a product or service to an Active Member Company which has made a measurable impact and contribution on the Active Member Company’s business.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE AWARD – MONAT Global
This award honours companies whose charitable and / or community service efforts have made a profound difference in the lives of Canadians.
COMMUNITY SPIRIT AWARD – Elaine Tarrant, AVON Canada
This award recognizes an Independent Sales Contractor who makes a profound difference in the community by helping others and positively impacting the community.
DSEF CIRCLE OF DISTINCTION AWARD – Jackie McClement, Vice President & General Manager, MONAT Global
This award recognizes individuals who have devoted significant years of service and made considerable contributions to the Direct Selling Education Foundation of Canada and the Direct Selling industry.
